Klorane Dry Shampoo Reviews

Klorane dry shampoo comes with an aerosol pump dispenser based spray and cleans your hair without using water. Brushes out easily leaving hair bouncy and light and can be used for brunette, blond or any other type of hair.

It is a cool product and you can use in situations like when you get up late and don’t have time for a wash.  It can also be used on kids when you need to dress them up and their hair is greasy. Quality is comparable to the more expensive brands such as Batiste,  Bumble and bumble dry shampoo etc. offered in the store and online.

Klorane Gentle waterless Shampoo with Oat Milk is based on softening, protective oat extract, cyclodextrins, and natural polysaccharides (micronised powders with very oil-absorbing properties) to clean the hair without washing, as often as required. The hair regains volume and lightness within minutes. Quick and practical to use, it’s recommended for those on-the-go.

It’s hypoallergenic and formulated to minimize the risk of allergic reaction. Shake the dry hair shampoo can well prior to and during each usage. If this is not done, solids that fall to the bottom of the can travel through the tube and clog the valve. If the product becomes clogged or does not spray, take off the actuator (nozzle) and wash it with hot water. Powder based no-rinse shampoos are currently not available with this brand.

Typical Cost: $12-20

Dry shampoo spray is the best thing I have seen in a while. Use it at the end of the day when you need to freshen your hair–it volumizes & makes your hair smell fresh. And it allows you to go longer between shampoos…water itself is so drying for the hair!! I’m down to shampooing twice a week MAX (I have shoulder length fine hair I used to think I had to wash everyday to keep the limpness & greasies away!!).

By the way, for those of you who think plain old baby powder would work just as well…I used to think the same thing & let me tell you, there is no comparison. This stuff is not nearly as messy as baby powder, volumizes wonderfully & actually makes your scalp feel CLEAN!

My major complaint: PRICE!! And I NEVER complain about the price of beauty products. If I like a product, I’ll pay whatever I have to & feel it is well worth it. But this is ridiculous. The can only lasts maybe 8-10 uses the most! That means I have to buy four cans a month… a $60/month habit! In the quest of saving money, I have since tried spray-on dry shampoos by Algemarine & Michael DiCesare (by the way, none of them are that cheap either). I haven’t tried Pssst! yet, but its probably very similar. They basically all seem to work just fine; the only difference to me was fragrance & price. So now I usually buy whichever dry shampoo I can find on sale (and I majorly stock up when any brand goes on sale!).

When I received this product in the mail, I was shocked to see how small it was. I was able to get 5 applications worth, tops and I have short hair. The reason I got this spray was to keep from having to wash my oily high ligted hair every day. I found this spray worked nice but corn starch probably would have felt less heavy in my hair and not as expensive.

Please if you use this product, wash it out properly before you get your hair coloured. I had a chemical reaction and my hair started burning and it burnt my scalp.
