I recommend to all curly girls out there is the DevaCare Low Poo (click here to see current price on Amazon) it’s a hundred percent sulfate, paraben and silicone free.
I’ve been using this for the past month, and I can honestly say that my hair has never looked better, and I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on my hair recently.
I think a lot of it has to do with my shampoo because as many of you may not know – sulfates are actually harmful for curly hair. If you use a sulfate free shampoo you get better curls you get more, shiny curls, healthier looking curls.
It’s a no fade mild lather rinse, it doesn’t really matter that much but it still cleanses my scalp, really well it’s a little bit more about it says this:
- Moisturizing cleanser
- Gently restore
- Shiny healthy curls
I think it does! My hair feels shiny, it feels clean, it has movement so definitely, this is what I would recommend to you!
Conditioner
I like to mix and match products because I find that through trial and error I have come to find out which two products or which products combined give me excellent results.
As a conditioner, I absolutely love the Suave Naturals tropical coconut conditioner (click here to see current price on Amazon). It’s got coconut extract and vitamin E. What I love about this conditioner is that it’s “not too heavy” so it doesn’t weigh my hair down and it actually makes my hair bouncy and my curls look shiny.

It’s definitely hard to find an everyday conditioner or a condition that I can use on a regular basis that won’t weigh my hair down. A lot of conditioners that are made for curly hair actually are a bit too heavy for my hair, because I have fine hair I just have a lot of it, so whenever I apply conditioners that are too heavy they weigh my hair down and in effect, it weighs down my curls.
You have to experiment through trial and error and that’s the only way you’ll find a product that works for your specific hair type.
Styling
In terms of styling what I used today was my favorite hair gel curly hair solutions – “Curl Keeper”
